What Is the SolarEdge Monitoring Platform?

SolarEdge offers one of the most detailed monitoring experiences available, thanks to its power optimiser technology which gives you panel-by-panel performance data — not just system totals. If your Sunollo system uses SolarEdge inverters and optimisers, this is your monitoring tool.

Access monitoring via the SolarEdge Monitoring app (iOS/Android) or the web portal at monitoring.solaredge.com.

Getting Access

  1. Your Sunollo installer registers the site on the SolarEdge monitoring platform during commissioning.
  2. You will receive an email invitation to create an owner account — check your inbox (and spam folder) after installation is complete.
  3. If you did not receive an email, contact Sunollo and provide your email address to have an invitation resent.
  4. Once registered, download the SolarEdge Monitoring app and log in with the same credentials.

Your Daily 2-Minute Check

  1. Today's energy — shown on the Dashboard screen in kWh. Should increase steadily from sunrise.
  2. Current power output — shown in kW. Compare to yesterday at the same time; big unexplained drops need investigation.
  3. Site Status — a green checkmark means all is well. A yellow or red indicator means one or more components have issues.
  4. Alerts badge — tap the bell icon to see any active alerts. Dismiss only after you understand the cause.

The SolarEdge Panel Layout View

This is SolarEdge's most powerful feature. It shows a virtual layout of your roof with each panel's individual output. To access it:

  • On the app: tap Layout from the site dashboard.
  • On the web: go to Dashboard → Physical Layout.

Each panel tile is colour-coded:

  • Green — operating normally
  • Yellow — operating but below expected output (possible shading, soiling, or micro-fault)
  • Red — not generating; optimiser or panel may have failed
  • Grey — not communicating (check wifi/logger connection)

Tip: Check this layout view once a week. A single consistently red panel that does not recover on clear days should be reported to Sunollo.

Key Metrics at a Glance

Setting Up Email and Push Alerts

On the web portal: go to Admin → Alerts → Subscriptions and enable email alerts for:

  • Communication errors
  • Inverter faults
  • Production drop alerts (set threshold at 20% below expected)

On the app: go to Settings → Notifications and enable push alerts for your site.

Using the Reports Tab for Monthly Reviews

Every month, spend 5 minutes in the Reports tab:

  1. Compare month-on-month energy production — expect natural variation of ±15% due to Singapore's weather patterns.
  2. Check Energy vs Expected graph — if actual production is consistently 20% or more below expected, contact Sunollo for a system health review.
  3. Download a PDF summary to keep for your records — useful for warranty claims and tax/green certification documentation.

When to Contact Sunollo

  • Multiple panels showing red in the Layout view for more than two consecutive sunny days
  • Inverter status shows fault and does not recover after a restart (AC breaker off for 30 seconds, then on)
  • System communication offline for more than 24 hours (check your router is working first)
  • Performance Ratio drops below 60% for more than a week
  • You notice no grid export even though production is positive
