What Is iSolar Cloud?
iSolar Cloud is the monitoring platform used for solar inverters from Sungrow, one of the world's leading inverter manufacturers. If your Sunollo system uses a Sungrow inverter, this is your primary window into your system's health and output.
The app is available for iOS and Android and connects directly to your inverter via the internet. You can monitor in real time, check historical data, and receive fault alerts.
Setting Up the App
- Download iSolar Cloud from the App Store or Google Play.
- Open the app and tap Register to create a free account using your email address.
- Once registered, tap Add Plant and enter your Plant ID or scan the QR code on your inverter or commissioning sheet provided by Sunollo.
- Your system will appear on the dashboard within a few minutes once linked.
Tip: Keep your Plant ID in a safe place — you will need it if you reinstall the app or switch phones.
Your Daily 2-Minute Check
A healthy solar system needs very little attention. Here is a quick daily routine to confirm everything is running well:
- Open the app in the morning (after 8 AM on a clear day) and check that Today's Yield is already registering a positive kWh value. If it reads zero by 10 AM on a sunny day, something may be wrong.
- Check Real-Time Power — this shows the current output in kilowatts (kW). On a bright midday, a typical 10 kWp system should be generating 6–9 kW.
- Review the Status Light — green means normal operation. Yellow or red indicates a warning or fault that needs attention.
- Check Today's Yield vs Yesterday's Yield — large unexplained drops (not caused by cloudy weather) should be investigated.
Key Metrics to Understand
Understanding the Energy Flow Diagram
iSolar Cloud shows an animated energy flow diagram with icons for: Solar panels → Inverter → Home → Grid. This tells you at a glance:
- Home consumption — how much your household is currently using
- Grid export — how much excess is being sent to SP Group (this earns you Net Energy Rebate)
- Grid import — how much you are drawing from the grid (ideally zero during daytime)
Setting Up Fault Alerts
Go to Settings → Message Notifications in the app. Enable push notifications for:
- Inverter fault alerts
- Communication failure alerts
- Low yield warnings
This means you will be notified immediately if your system goes offline, even if you are not actively checking the app.
When to Contact Sunollo
Contact us if you notice any of the following in iSolar Cloud:
- System showing a red fault status that does not clear after a reset
- Zero yield for a full sunny day
- Yield consistently 30% or more below the same period last year with no weather explanation
- Inverter showing grid fault or isolation failure errors
When you call Sunollo, have your Plant ID and a screenshot of the fault code ready — this helps us diagnose remotely without a site visit.
